Ndugu Wapendanao Women Group to Hold Women-Only Fundraiser at Jamia Mosque Nairobi

By Urban Shihemi, August 27, 2025 The Ndugu Wapendanao Women Group, a community-based organization (CBO) established in 1995, will host a women-only fundraising event this Saturday, 30th August 2025, at the Jamia Mosque Nairobi Multipurpose Hall. The event will run from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Founded with a mission to advance education, charity, and women empowerment, the CBO has become a key support network for women and vulnerable families in Nairobi and beyond. The upcoming fundraiser will feature a variety of engaging sessions, including: Discussion on Communication in Marriage ,Parenting Session, Interactive Q&A Segment and Food Bazaar . Over the years, Ndugu Wapendanao Women Group has supported countless families through initiatives including: Sponsoring madrassa children from slum areas, Holding weekly women’s darsas every Friday at Minha Heights, South B, Donating shrouds for bereaved families unable to afford them, Providing Ramadhan food packages to needy Muslims and Paying school fees and hospital bills for struggling families. Organizers say the proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly into expanding these vital projects and uplifting more women and children in need. The group is inviting Muslim women from across Nairobi to attend, contribute, and be part of empowering change.
