Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), the world’s first full-service Islamic bank and a pioneer in integrating Sharia-compliant principles with modern financial solutions, has officially unveiled its new brand identity in Kenya, signaling a renewed phase in the Bank’s global growth journey and its commitment to innovation, trust, and responsible progress.
The new brand identity, first launched in the United Arab Emirates during DIB’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, is now being rolled out internationally with Kenya marking a key milestone in the expansion.
The rebrand carries the global slogan “Progress Never Stops,” underscoring DIB’s drive to unite its core values with cutting-edge, digitally enabled banking services designed to enhance customer experience across all markets.
Speaking during the launch, Dr. Adnan Chilwan, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Islamic Bank and Chairman of DIB Bank Kenya Ltd, said the rebrand reflects the bank’s journey of five decades built on trust, clarity, and service to communities.
“For fifty years, our journey has been shaped by values that remain constant: trust, clarity, and a sincere commitment to serving people and communities,” Dr. Chilwan said. “As we bring this new corporate identity to Kenya, we do so with the same belief that progress must be responsible, meaningful, and built to last.”
He emphasized that DIB’s international expansion is not about scale alone but about learning from and contributing to local markets. “Kenya is a key part of that journey,” he added. “Our focus here is to support growth through banking solutions that are practical, ethical, and relevant to everyday needs.”
Dr. Chilwan noted that DIB is investing heavily in digital transformation, focusing on secure, accessible, and intuitive banking experiences that reflect its long-term values and leadership in the Islamic finance sector.
“For DIB, success is measured by trust earned, long-term value created, and the responsibility we carry as a leading Islamic financial institution,” he said.
On his part, Samir Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of DIB Bank Kenya, said the rebrand represents a renewed commitment to the Kenyan market and the bank’s customers.
“Introducing the new DIB identity in Kenya reflects our long-term commitment to the market and our customers,” Gupta stated. “It reinforces our promise to deliver simple, modern, and digitally enabled Islamic banking solutions that empower individuals and businesses to thrive.”
He added that as part of the DIB global network, DIB Bank Kenya remains focused on innovation, integrity, and progress, while deepening its roots and impact within the Kenyan community.
Since its entry into Kenya, DIB has positioned itself as a key player in ethical and inclusive financial solutions, supporting both individuals and businesses through Sharia-compliant products that align with Kenya’s growing demand for Islamic banking.
The unveiling of the new brand identity in Nairobi marks DIB’s ongoing effort to strengthen its international presence while maintaining its founding mission to deliver responsible banking built on faith, trust, and progress.
DIB Bank Kenya Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC. Licensed in 2017, it is a fully-fledged commercial bank offering exclusively Sharia-compliant banking services to both personal and business customers.
